About Thulani

The Meaning of Thulani

THE SANCTUARY OF STILLNESS

The name Thulani carries the idea of quiet and stillness, and that’s what you’ll find here. About 1,300 hectares of private Limpopo bushveld, just 38 full-title stands, and wildlife moving freely between them. Thulani isn’t a new development. It was proclaimed in 2006, and its roads, water and electricity have been in place ever since. The homes, the community and the wildlife have all had time to settle in. Stillness here doesn’t mean nothing is happening. It means having time to notice what is.

The Land

SPACE SHAPED BY THE BUSHVELD

Open thornveld, sandy woodland and rocky koppies give each part of the estate its own character and its own wildlife.

Stands are generous and well spaced, so the bushveld, not the buildings, stays the main feature.

Space to breathe. Space to belong.

Location

CLOSE ENOUGH TO ESCAPE

Near Koedoeskop, between Brits and Thabazimbi. Leave Gauteng after work on Friday and light your bushveld fire that evening. Close enough for the weekend. Far enough to feel you’ve truly escaped.

Our Philosophy

STEP SOFTLY

The bushveld isn’t landscaping around our homes. It’s the place we’ve chosen to live in. Our job is to enjoy it and protect it for whoever comes next.

Our sentinel, the Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill, sums it up: it adapts to its surroundings rather than dominating them. We aim to live the same way.
